SALES MANAGER (M/F/D) PLASTICS AND COATINGS FOR GERMANY AND AUSTRIA

To support our Business Unit Pigments / Plastics and Coatings - Germany and Austria situated in Sulzbach (Taunus) near Frankfurt

As Sales Manager (m/f/d) Plastics and Coatings for Germany and Austria you are responsible for the sales activities of Plastics and Coatings business in the country, market and clientele assignment.

Position duties:

  • Ensure achievement of sales target for business in the country / market within guidelines (pricing, payment and service)
  • Implement marketing initiatives, key account coordination and technical activities into the local market
  • Agree sales budget for business - country together with region and key account managers, monitor and ensure performance
  • Develop local customers' business plan, according to region guidelines and target setting
  • Collect and identify market needs, implement market intelligence in the country and report to regional sales
  • Implement customer segmentation and service level for non-KA within guidelines from Sales and Marketing
  • Implement pncing / sales conditions according to sales and marketing guidelines
  • Manage local customer portfolio within guidelines; provide appropriate offers accordingly to customer requirements
  • Manage Cost to Serve (CTS) initiatives
  • Actively support product introduction and service initiatives in accordance with marketing programs
  • Actively contribute to projects and pursue opportunities, ensure customer feedback on product sampling / developments
  • Implement local CRM effectively, ensure adequate input on demand planning (SBPT) for the business in the country / market

Requirements:

  • University degree(s) in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering or similar discipline
  • Minimum professional experience: 3 years in the field of Sales and / or Marketing
  • Understanding and practice of sales activities within the chemical industry
  • Solid professional experience with clientele contacts and sound negotiation skills
  • High degree of mobility within a geographic market area (including valid driving license)
  • Fluency in German and English, additional language/s is/are a plus 
  • Solid IT / computer abilities
  • Excellent communication skills
